The Sugar Shack Cafe is the Red Bluff Chamber’s Business of the Quarter

Quarter

February 2019

The Red Bluff – Tehama County Chamber of Commerce and the Red Bluff Daily News would like to congratulate the Sugar Shack Cafe for being selected as the Best Business of the Quarter.

Owner Tammy Ross, along with co-owner sister, Lisa Vance, take great pride in the quality of food and comfortable atmosphere of her downtown business.  The Sugar Shack is known for individually preparing each meal to order and using only fresh ingredients.  No pre-packaged foods are used.

The Sugar Shack also is known for giving back to the community.  They were nominated for Business of the Quarter because of their generosity after this year’s fire season.  Their help started after the Stoll fire on Baker Road.  They held a fund-raiser for the Red Bluff Police Department’s Officer Ruben and his family and raised just under $1000. Who would have imagined that the Carr and Camp fires would follow?

For two weeks after the Carr Fire, the Sugar Shack paid it forward when they covered the cost of hundreds of meals for fire victims and loved ones housing them.

After the Camp Fire, Tammy and crew hosted three “Friendsgiving” Dinners during the months of November and December.  People displaced by the fires, anyone struggling, along with their family and friends were invited to come have dinner free of charge.  Every table in the restaurant was filled for each Friendsgiving dinner.

Tammy shared “I honestly feel so many people wanted to help, and the Sugar Shack became a way to do that.  Some volunteers brought in cooked turkeys, desserts and other food.  Many others donated their time.  At the shack we feel we are the ones that gained.  What a blessing to be able to help others and see a community pull together the way Red Bluff did.  It made me proud to be in this community!”

The Sugar Shack is located at 607 Main Street.  They are open from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm every day.  They also provide great catering services.  Their phone number is 530.527.0772.

Congratulations and thank you to the Sugar Shack- Chamber of Commerce Business of the Quarter!
